Robo Maker

An automated robot-making machine for Standard Chartered Bank Arts in the Park.
Created with TBWA's Digital Arts Network Hong Kong for one of the city's largest children's events, Robo Maker used robotic mechanisms to let audiences create their own original robots by combining different heads, bodies and legs.
The robots were developed in collaboration with some of Hong Kong's best-known street artists, producing thousands of possible design permutations. The booth itself was built as a miniature robot factory, with physical handles used to select each robot component.
Once the design was complete, a Robot Baker printed an original paper-fold robot for children to take home and assemble. It turned generative design into a physical keepsake instead of leaving it on a screen.
