Oscar Pistorius Trial Platform
A device- and platform-agnostic real-time visualisation system for one of the biggest murder trials of the century.
The platform visualised social media data as a second-screen experience for TV viewers, a working research tool for journalists, and a live graphics source for the TV station.
Data was pulled from social listening tools, collated and mashed together to create a user-friendly live view of what was happening in the trial and in the social media space.
The visualisations were built so media outlets could use them on their websites, and so on-demand downloadable graphs could be output for print media, extending the credibility and reach of the TV channel.
